About Outdoor Adventure Photography

My passion for adventure and photography began during my childhood living at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains in southern California. As far back as I can remember I have had a fascination for discovery, and a need to view the world from a different perspective. After attending Art Center College of Design I began my career as a professional photographer.

For 30 years I have had the privilege of photographing some of the most memorable moments of my client’s lives, from an athlete’s gold medal win at the Olympic Games to a couple's first family portrait. My desire has always been to reveal in photographs the beauty of life and to capture those moments and places that impact people in an emotional way. I’ve had the honor of photographing many different subjects during my career from kings to professional athletes.

My work has appeared in various publications and I’ve received many honors in the photographic industry, but more important to me than any accolades I have received for my photographs is knowing that my work has enriched the lives of those I have had the privilege to photograph.

In 2011 after thirty years of assignments across the US and abroad, I decided to return my focus in photography to where it began, photographing nature. To journey into far off places that few people ever experience and create images that capture the magical moments that happen only in nature.
